Dr. Hutcheson
Chiropractic care for cases that won't stay fixed.
Complex neck and full-spine cases handled through the three pillars of structural health: alignment, curvature, and stability. Digital Motion X-Ray and diagnostic ultrasound reveal what static imaging misses. Gentle instrument adjustments, curve-restoration protocols, and connective tissue dry needling address all three pillars; not just one.
Your spine is your core. Restore its alignment, curvature, and stability, and you rebuild the foundation. Everything else depends on it.

Digital Motion X-Ray
A still picture and a moving one, of the same neck

Same neck. Same morning. The picture on the left is everything a standard X-ray can tell you, because a standard X-ray is one frozen moment. The one on the right is that neck under load, in motion, which is the only state in which most of what we are looking for actually shows up.
This is a Digital Motion X-Ray. There are not many of them in the country and we read our own.
The Three Pillars of Structural Health
Often one missing pillar is why your symptoms keep coming back.
We address all three; in sequence. With the right tool for each.

The ligaments and tendons that lock structure in place. When they stop holding, patients call it instability, and there is more than one way to get it back.

The Support Pillar
Stability, and what patients call instability
When the ligaments and tendons that hold a segment together stop holding it, people rarely reach for the clinical word. They say their neck will not hold, or that their head feels heavy, or that something gives way. The clinical name for that pattern is instability.
There is more than one way to regain stability. They sit on a real spectrum, from the most invasive to the least, and it is worth understanding the whole of it before you choose any part of it.
- 01
Surgery
The most invasive
Surgical stabilisation takes load off the failing structures by fixing the segment in place. For some presentations it is the right call. When we think yours is one of them, we will tell you that and help point you toward the right surgeon.
- 02
Deeper ligament injections
More invasive
Injections placed into the ligaments themselves, to provoke a repair response in tissue that has stopped repairing on its own. This is a real and established route, and some cases need it.
- 03
Curve correction
Less invasive
Restoring the spine's engineered arcs so that normal forces travel through those tendons and ligaments the way they were built to carry them. Load that is distributed the way the structure expects is load those tissues can handle.
- 04
Connective tissue dry needling
Least invasive
Working on the tendons and ligaments directly, to help strengthen and rehabilitate the tissue that holds the segment together.
It is often a combination rather than one of the four. Dr. Hutcheson works at the less invasive end of this spectrum, and the reason to start there is not that the other options are wrong. It is that beginning with the least invasive thing that could reasonably work leaves everything else still available to you if it does not.
What we will not do is tell you which of these you need before we have examined you and looked at how your spine actually behaves under load.

Between visits, and a long way away
What came out of the scans
Every case that comes through this office gets measured. Over the years that has added up to a large library of structural scans, and a very clear picture of which measurements actually tell you something and which ones just look impressive on a report.
That work became PostureVision.
It is a free posture scan you run from your own phone, in about thirty seconds, with no account. It reads 84 anatomical landmarks, including points on your spine and your pelvis, and shows you what your posture is doing right now. Most posture apps are built on a pose model with 33 points on it, and not one of them sits on the spine.
It is not a substitute for being examined and it does not tell you what is wrong. It is a way to see what you are doing, and to keep seeing it between visits.
Use it if you are already a patient here, to keep an eye on things between appointments and to bring something real to your next visit.
Use it if you are nowhere near Fort Myers, and want somewhere honest to start.
